“Once your mindset changes, everything on the outside will change along with it.”
-Steve Maraboli
They say optimists see the world through rose colored glasses, and that somehow this optimistic point of view can lead to disappointment and frustration.

But if you’re anything like me, you know the opposite is also true, especially when it comes to your business.

If you approach your business unsure of your own abilities, as you scroll social media you will look at other entrepreneurs and believe that you don’t measure up. #impostersyndrome

Then when you finally manage to get into a sales call or speak/train online, you’re painfully aware of every mistake that betrays your anxiety.

The world you see is black, cold, and unforgiving.

Worst of all, the image you see of yourself is a sad (and inaccurate) representation of how unworthy you feel.

Real quick, let’s get some introductions out of the way, shall we?

Your Mindset

If you plan to succeed in your online business, the first thing you need to consider is taking off those dark colored shades of self doubt.

Your mindset is everything.

I often visualize our mindsets as an old record player we let repeat in our heads.
What does your player repeat over and over? “Yes I can?” or “What am I even doing here?”
Mindsets are defined as an established set of attitudes held by someone.

These attitudes affect your behavior, and in turn, your behavior motivates your actions.

So, if you feel insecure about your abilities, it will clearly show in how you look, speak, and present.

Commitment to Success

The next factor you need to consider is your own commitment to success.

Are you willing to #alwaysbelearning and do what it takes to provide the absolute best value to your customers?

Sure, you may have a great niche and be super clear on who your ideal client is, but do you feel confident in your knowledge, your products/services, your value…your price point??

Investing in your future as an entrepreneur means investing in creating the right business process, finding the right tools, and using them on a daily basis.

Just like a pianist might practice the piano daily, your business is your instrument, and should be refined and strengthened every day.

Rejection is Inevitable

The third factor is understanding rejection.

Everyone, and I do mean everyone, is rejected in their career goals at some point.

How you perceive this rejection is important in growing.

Will you let the rejection shut you down? Or will you see it as a learning opportunity?

Henry Ford is credited with saying
“Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently”
and he was right.

So learning from those failed launches and sales calls, the ones you’ll tell your friends about over a drink later, is vital to becoming better and more confident.

What you learn depends on the circumstances;

Maybe you’ll learn to be better prepared, be more flexible, or at the very least, be confident enough to not take their “no” as a personal rebuke.
Focus on the relationship, not the outcome.
–Me
This one’s hard to master, but if you can, you’ll have a solid grip on launching and selling with confidence.

Speaking of confidence, this is the goal every entrepreneur works towards.

Going into any launch or sales call with the mindset of “please, oh please, choose me as your coach!” will only work against you.

You want to show up as the one person in the “room” who has the answers they are looking for.

Your approach and personality is literally what they would be paying for… not your skillset.

You are what you bring to the table, not your courses or programs.

If they love it, great! If they don’t, then they aren’t actually your ideal client afterall.

You’re not going in cocky, you’re just confident.

Creating a positive mindset is key to finding success.

But, make no mistake, it’s not something you can work on once, and then be done.

It’s an ongoing process of self reflection, self assurance, and building confidence.

In the Tech-Savvy Academy, you’ll learn techniques and strategies to build your contentment, understand and handle rejection, and develop your self confidence.
